HANCOCK, Mich. (WLUC) - The 44th annual Canal Run held their yearly pre-race pasta dinner Friday.
Racers showed up to the Finnish American Heritage Center in Hancock to pick up their race bibs and enjoy some food before competing Saturday. Canal Run shirts were also on sale, as well as a variety of the races sponsors promoting their businesses and selling merchandise.
"Racers, a lot of the time, like to fuel up with a pre-race pasta dinner. It's a great social setting for people to gather together," said Angela Luskin, the Race Director for the Canal Run.
Racers who were not able to pick up their bibs Friday night can still get them Saturday before the events begin.
The Canal Run kicks off Saturday morning at 7:15 with a 10-mile walk.
