Calumet stabbing suspect arraigned in Houghton County District Court

CALUMET, Mich. (WLUC) - UPDATE: 3/19 - 17-year-old Karilyn Mazurowski is charged with felonious assault with a dangerous weapon.

She was released on a personal recognizance bond of $500.

A preliminary exam is scheduled for April 5.
A young woman was stabbed Saturday evening in the Village of Calumet.

The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call involving two juvenile females with two young children. One juvenile had a large laceration on her face.

After investigation, deputies arrested a 17-year-old female at a nearby residence. The victim was transported to Aspirus Keewnaw where she was treated and released.

The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office, Laurium Police Department and Mercy EMS were on the scene.
