Community Action Alger Marquette begins its yearly preschool screenings next month.

A screening is a free way to check-in to make sure that your child (age 3 or 4 from Marquette and Alger County) is developing at an age appropriate rate.

An assessment is done to check your child’s language skills, large/fine motor skills, and concept development. Your child will also have a hearing and vision screening.

Each screening is a collaborative effort of the local school district, the

Health Department, Head Start, Great Start Readiness Program, and MARESA.

You can call CAAM Early Childhood to set up your child’s screening appointment in your local school district: 906-228-6522 or 1-800-562-9762
