MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Residents at Brookridge Heights Assisted Living Center were treated to some festive holiday tunes on Sunday, from the deep soothing sound of tubas.
Tuba Christmas performed at the center Sunday afternoon, and the crowd of residents and family joined in, singing along. Brookridge likes to fill up their holiday season schedule every year, with fun activities like this for the residents.
“It breaks up their day a little bit, they get to experience something special that is going on outside in the community that they can have a little taste of, coming right to them in their home, and that's very important," said Jamie Weeder, director of lifestyle and leisure at Brookridge.
The Marquette Dance Studio will perform at Brookridge next week, with selections from the Nutcracker Ballet.
