MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Brookridge Heights assisted Living and Memory Care hosted their 3rd annual pig roast to support the Alzheimer's Association.
Many staff members and visitors "lassoed up" for the western themed fundraiser.
Through dinner and raffle tickets, all the money raised at the event will directly go to Marquette's Walk to End Alzheimer’s on September 23rd.
The event also included games and music to raise not only money, but awareness as well.
"This is our opportunity to give a little bit back and to team up with an organization like the Alzheimer’s Association," said Neal Crothers, the executive director at Brookridge Heights. "It is really to raise the funds, raise awareness and be a part of this community."
Brookridge Heights hopes their pig roast raised more than $2,000 to "stomp out" Alzheimer's at the upcoming September Walk to End Alzheimer's.
