HOUGHTON, Mich. (WLUC) - Houghton-Hancock Bridge Fest 2019 is just over a month away, and the Houghton County Chamber of Commerce is announcing a new partnership.
Keweenaw Chevrolet in Houghton and Keweenaw Buick GMC in Hancock have donated $10,000 to become the lead sponsor of the festival.
With that, they're set to add three new events, a classic car show, and off-site car sale, and "touch the truck", which will allow children and parents to get up close and personal with all types of emergency and construction vehicles.
The chamber says, this will make an already great event even better.
"We're really happy to be partnering with Keweenaw Buick GMC in Hancock and Keweenaw Chevrolet in Houghton, they're really passionate about bringing family friendly events to the area, so working with them has been really great," said Tara Arens, Chamber Manager.
Another addition this year, a cash prize for the best decorated vehicle in the parade, with first place winning a $500 cash prize.
