Boater still missing after accident

The search continues for a boater who went missing on Hagerman Lake.

Just after 3:30 p.m. Saturday The Iron County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a boat accident on Hagerman Lake.

According to a witness a boat, without a driver, had crashed into a boat dock.

Authorities believe that the driver of the boat, a 56-year-old Iowa resident, was out fishing and fell into the water sometime prior to the accident.

A search of the area around the accident was conducted but no body has been found at this point.

Recovery activity is continuing today and the identity of the missing boater is not being released at this time.
