MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Blackrocks Brewery announced Thursday morning that its pub is expanding.

In a Facebook post, the brewery announced it has purchased the building at 420 N. Third Street, which is directly next to the existing Blackrocks pub.
Blackrocks says it still in the very beginning stages of this endeavor, and the final product will take some time.
"However, the gears are starting to turn as we continue lots of brainstorming sessions over beers," said the Facebook post.
Blackrocks says the new property will make it possible to expand its experience to customers.
"We look forward to a little extra space for everyone to enjoy while keeping the vibe and experience you would expect from Blackrocks," said the Facebook post.
The owners say plans are still in the early stages but they do hope to connect the buildings. Even during winter months the brewery has seen some very busy nights. They hope the new addition improves the overall experience for their customers.
"I think it's going to be something that is an augmentation to your Blackrocks experience, we want it to be something that is a furtherance of your ability to enjoy Blackrocks and everything that we're able to offer to you, that's our goal," said David Manson, Ambassador of Fermentology.
Blackrocks opened its pub in December 2010. It currently distributes canned beer in parts of Michigan and Wisconsin.
