Bigfoot makes special appearance in Marquette for Art Week

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Marquette residents should be on the lookout for a famous Sasquatch, better known as Bigfoot. Artist Dan Barrington and poet Marty Achatz teamed up to bring the legend to life. Bigfoot will be making appearances around town during art week and it's up to you to find him.

Check Marquette Arts and Culture Center's Facebook page for daily clues about his whereabouts. Snag a picture and post it online with the hashtag, #BigfootArtWeek. At the end of the week, three lucky contestants will be chosen to win a reward.

“We unleashed Bigfoot on the town for this week,” said Taylor Kulju, Marketing and Promotions Assistant and the Marquette Arts and Culture Center. “He's got different location throughout Marquette throughout this entire week. Sunday he was at the Children's Museum enjoying the Fairy Garden Festival. Monday he was at Travel Marquette. He's been all over.”

More information about art week can be found on the Marquette Arts and Culture website at https://www.marquettemi.gov/departments/community-services/arts-and-culture/.
