Bernie Sanders rally held in Marquette

MARQUETTE Mich. (WLUC)- Bernie Sanders supporters filled the Women's Federated Clubhouse on Friday evening for a rally for the presidential hopeful.

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is running for the 2020 Democratic nomination.

Marquette County Our Revolution hosted Friday’s rally, along with the Northern Michigan University Students for Bernie.

The event included live music and a couple of speeches, including one speaker who focused on Medicare for All.

Supporters said the rally was all about showing how much Sanders has energized this movement.

"I support Bernie because he's not making campaign promises, he's running on his record, so you can go back and when Bernie says I'll do this, I'll do that, that's how he's voted his entire career,” said John Mallo, a Sanders supporter. “We can trust him, there is no unknowns with Bernie, you know what you're getting"
