IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WLUC) - Science Camp has come to Iron Mountain. Bay College's West Campus is hosting the camp this week, for kids to get hands-on experience with science.
Kids are able to learn about planting, do science experiments, go on scavenger hunts, and explore the outdoors. This is the first time Bay College West has hosted science camp, and the teachers are excited to be a part of it.
“This is just a really fun day for kids to come into the college, that’s a great experience for them, to just get messy and have fun, to make new friends. And it's just a great way to kick off summer vacation,” said teacher, Denise Maloney.
Science Camp has two classes, a morning class from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., and an afternoon class from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The camp is full, however, but if you would like to put your child on the waiting list, visit the Bay College West website.
