MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - The Dancing With Our Stars Marquette County Style competition is just over a month away.
To help participants prepare for their big night, Barrel and Beam hosted a classic newlywed game Sunday evening with host, Joey Black.
For the first time ever, all eight couples participating in the competition were together for the all-ages game, answering questions to help folks get to know them better.
The event was also a fund raiser for U.P Hospice Foundation. Tickets were $15. Each couple also put together an outstanding bucket raffle that attendees could bid on.
‘Newlywed’ contestant, Danielle Miljour says it's been interesting and fun to be able to work with the all the couples at once on a shared goal.
"We all have our strengths. We all brought stuff to the table and we are here tonight, we sold like a 160 tickets. That's $2400 coming right into this event just out the get-go. I think that's amazing,” Miljour declared.
Tickets are still available for the two-night Dancing With Our Stars Marquette County Style. There are also several upcoming events during the weeks ahead.
