Arts grants available for teachers, schools

MICHIGAN (WLUC) - Michigan Youth Arts (MYA), on behalf of the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs, is offering grants of up to $500 to Michigan K-12 schools for the transportation cost of an arts or culture related field trip.

The destination or performance must be chosen from the list of approved non-profit organizations found on their website. Grant awards are determined by independent panelists based on need and trip objectives. Grants are awarded on a reimbursement basis.

MYA is also offering Michigan K-12 schools grants of up to $1,500 to pay for arts equipment (including repairs of arts equipment) or supplies being used within the classroom/school setting. G
