ESCANABA, Mich. (WLUC) - The hallways and walls at Escanaba Junior and Senior High school are ever changing, thanks to art teacher Cathy Uhazie's mission to beautify the school with the help of her students.
After 15 years working with many students, different murals, installations, and pieces of art can be found throughout Escanaba High.
In the art room, a culmination of years and years of students' memories fill the walls as tiles inspired by positive memories of their experiences.
"Every day we are creating more things and decorating this place,” said Uhazie. “We have been working vigilantly for the last, my last fifteen years of teaching, to make this a more beautiful, artistic place."
The work doesn't stop at the school. Students are currently working on a community project, honoring veterans.
