"Archeology On Ice" is a traveling exhibit from the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology at the University of New Mexico.

The 10 panel display shows the melting ice glaciers in Alaska, and discusses the impacts of climate change.

The items in the exhibit have been frozen for thousands of years. Researchers uncovered them and have now brought them to Marquette.

"Because these objects were in the ice for thousands of years, if they sat out in the sun and the weather they would eventually decompose, but they have found them in the meantime," said Marquette Regional History Center Curator, Jo Wittler.

The exhibit is on display at the Marquette Regional History Center until the end of December.
