UPDATE: April winter storm knocks out power to thousands in Upper Michigan

(WLUC) - UPDATE 1 p.m. Friday:
Some areas, especially in eastern Upper Michigan, are still without power Friday afternoon after an April snow and rain storm.

Cloverland Electric Cooperative is reporting 1,358 customers without power.

As of 1 p.m. Friday,UPPCO was only reporting four outages throughout the U.P.

Alger Delta Cooperative only had six outages remaining Friday afternoon.

The Marquette Board of Light and Power and We Energies weren't showing any outages in the U.P. at 1 p.m. Friday. We Energies still had scattered outages in Wisconsin locations.

Remember to report all downed power lines or unsafe conditions to your utility.

The April winter storm has left thousands in Upper Michigan without power Friday morning, but the numbers started to decrease after daylight hit.

Service providers are posting outage updates on their websites. Here are the outage numbers as of 8:30 a.m.

UPPCO reports 427 customers in Torch Lake Township are without power. UPPCO says crews are working as quickly as possible to restore service. Another 123 customers in Blaney Park are without power.

Cloverland Electric Cooperative says it has 1,706 customers without power. Crews have been dispatched throughout the service area, from Schoolcraft County to the east.

The Marquette Board of Light and Power has scattered outages.

Alger Delta Cooperative has scattered outages.

We Energies reports two customers without power.
