MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Staff from Anytime Fitness spent Thursday volunteering at the Marquette County Habitat for Humanity. Once a month, staff and members from the gym give some of their time to help out the non-profit organization.
It takes a lot of volunteers to build houses through the program, and Habitat for Humanity staff there are saying they need more volunteers, like those from Anytime Fitness, now more than ever.
"If you love our community and want our community to be the best it can be, and you want to help your neighbor and you're interested in all kinds of things, come help us out. We're a lot of fun,” said Marquette County Habitat for Humanity Affiliate Support Manager, Karen Benstrom.
Benstrom adds that they also need volunteers for their lunch donation program.
You can get more information on volunteering by calling the Marquette County Habitat for Humanity at 906-228-3578, by stopping in to their office at 2354 US-41 S in Marquette, or by going to their website by clicking here.
