ISHPEMING, Mich. (WLUC) - Those in need got a chance to buy low priced clothes for their families Saturday morning. The NICE Community Schools Child and Family Resource Center held their 14th annual clothing resale at Aspen Ridge Elementary.
Community members donated gently used clothes, winter wear, shoes, and other clothes. That was all then sold for just 25 cents per item. Event organizers are glad they have been able to hold the event for so many years.
“We just feel like it helps the families in our community,” said June Ayotte, assistant coordinator for the Child and Family Resource Center. “There's so much need out there that we see practically on a daily basis here at school and we feel like if we can help them in some little way, we will.”
All the money raised will go to fund programs put on by the child and family resource center.
