Annual Lee Remmel Packer Night held in Iron Mountain

IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WLUC) - Raffle prizes, jerseys, and autographs were just a few things that filled Packer Night.

"We've been doing this for over 30 years. We became good friends with Lee Remmel, when he was the public relations director of the Packers. He passed away 6-7 years ago,” says Event Organizer, Mike Caruso.

Remmel’s friends now hold this night to remember him.
Every year this night brings in guests to celebrate the upcoming season for the Green Bay Packers.

This year, the special guest, was the Packer's Head Team Physician, Doctor Pat McKenzie.

"A really special event for me to be at, for a number of reasons. I've never been to Iron Mountain, in my life, but Lee Remmel was a very special, dear friend of mine and I miss him a lot. He really helped me throughout the early phases of my career,” says Green Bay Packers Head Team Physician, Pat McKenzie.

The doctor talked about a year in his shoes, and the support of the team.

"I think it's a great night, it's free, so no one has to dish out any money, and they come here and win some prizes. Everyone enjoys themselves,” says Event Organizer, Rob Barkle.

Along with the sports items raffle, the 2018 N-F-L Packer highlight film was shown.

Tonight was a night full of friends, community, and football.
