ALGER COUNTY, Mich. (WLUC) The Alger County Animal Shelter is holding their annual Cutest Critter Contest.

To enter, people can drop off or mail in 4 by 6 pictures and a $2 entry fee to the shelter.

This year, there will be three separate categories to vote on. There will be different boards featuring either dogs, cats, or other animals like horses and pigs.

“The Cutest Critter Contest is one of the fundraisers we do every year. People send in pictures of their pets, people vote on it, and there’s a winner from each board and the most money wins,” said Alger County Animal Shelter Manager, Linda Johnson.

Picture entries must be in by November 4th and voting will start on November 6th and end on the 10th at the Upper Michigan Community Credit Union.
