'America's First Serial Killer' book presentation Thursday night at KBOCC

L'ANSE, Mich. (WLUC) - Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College is hosting a book presentation Thursday night about infamous serial killer from the late 1800s, H.H. Holmes.

Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College is hosting author Rebecca Frost as she discusses her book about infamous serial killer H. H. Holmes.

Author and KBOCC instructor Rebecca Frost, author of "Words of a Monster," says Holmes is widely regarded as America's first serial killer. In the 1890s, Holmes wrote an autobiography trying to prove his innocence of accusations he killed dozens of people, including children. Many believe he killed upwards of 200 people.

Frost says her presentation will focus on who Holmes was and discuss his autobiography, as well as go through the book she wrote about Holmes.

The community is invited to the free presentation at the KBOCC L'Anse campus in the cultural room starting at 5 p.m. Frost will also have some books available, and light refreshments will be served.
