MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The American Legion Jr. Wildcat Hockey team is hosting a fundraising dinner Friday, January 24, and if you like spaghetti you're in luck.
The team will be cooking up plenty of pasta, sauce, meatballs and garlic bread for a spaghetti fundraiser. The money raised will help the team with costs through the season including travel expenses.
"It helps support the community and for us to be a part of it, everyone wants to support our legion and we need a lot of funding for everyone on our hockey team to play and it's really nice that one of our sponsors is the American Legion because they can help us out a lot," said Matthew Johnson who plays RW for the American Legion Jr. Wildcat Hockey Team.
The dinner is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 24, at the American Legion Post 44 Hall on Bluff Street in Marquette. Tickets are $8 and there will also be a 50/50 raffle, silent auction and bucket drawings.
