CHATHAM, Mich. (WLUC) - The All in the Barn fundraising event took place at the North Farm in Chatham Saturday. Attendees say it was a true celebration of Alger County, with farmers showing off what they have grown and raised at their farm-to-table dinner.
Entertainment included square dancing, morris dancers and live music provided by Granny Fox and the Farm Hands Band. The family fun night at the farm also included basket raffles and a pie and cake auction.
The event was sponsored by the Alger County Communities That Care, with all proceeds benefitting suicide prevention efforts in Alger County and funding for the Alger County school social worker.
"The response has been very positive. Not only from the youth but from the teachers to that feel like they have an extra arm of support in terms of how to intervene in a positive manner,” said Alger County Communities That Care Coordinator, Mary Joan O'Halloran-Torongo.
This was the 4th year of All in the Barn.
