MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - They say they're a girls best friend but how much do you really know about diamonds? Wednesday night at Wattsson & Wattsson Jewelers in Marquette there was a presentation all about the famously precious gems.
Lacee J. Hartzell recently graduated from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). She shared her knowledge with a group Wednesday night. The presentation focused on the four C's, that's cut, clarity, carat and color.
"I know buying diamonds is scary and I know there's so much information available and it's tricky," Hartzell it's a very tricky world to navigate and I think it's really important to have that extra information to know exactly what it is we're looking at."
The group also got to examine diamonds under a microscope.
