MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - People from all over the U.S. gathered at Tourist Park for music and fun at the 41st Annual Hiawatha Traditional Music Fest.
Music fans set up tents and campers and prepped their sites for the festival.
Music on the main stage doesn't start until tomorrow, but that didn't stop festival goers from hitting up the food trucks, taking part in the drum circle, or dancing.
Organizers say it's not just about the music, its about the sense of community.
"Hiawatha is just a big community. Everybody gathers every year, you see familiar faces, you see new faces, and by time Sunday comes we're just a large community, a large family," said Hiawatha Board Member Susan Bertram.
