Man charged, arraigned, for Delta County police chase
UPDATE: 1/15/20, 2:48 p.m.
26-year-old Rodney Lee Frye Jr. was arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Delta County District Court.
He is being charged with:
-fleeing a police officer, 3rd degree
-resisting/obstructing a police officer, causing injury
-3 counts of resisting and obstructing
Frye has a probable cause conference scheduled for January 23 at 9:45 a.m.
The female passenger is no longer in the Delta County jail. Her charges are unknown at this time.
Two people were arrested after a high speed chase through Delta County Tuesday night.
Escanaba Public Safety says the chase was initiated at 9:17 p.m. on the 2800 block of 3rd Ave. South in Escanaba.
The pursuit went through the city of Escanaba, Wells Township, and eventually ended on 11th Road in Ford River Township.
The driver, a 26-year-old man, was arrested. He’s facing a number of charges including felony fleeing and eluding, resisting and obstructing, and driving with a suspended license. His bond was set at $100,000.
A 27-year-old woman who was a passenger in the vehicle was also arrested on unrelated charges.
The suspects' names will be released after they appear in court.
