MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The Women’s Center kicked off its 4th annual 100 Good Men campaign earlier this week. The fundraiser is simple, men walk into the Women’s Center, or go to their website, and hand them $100 dollars.
Each man that donates $100 or more will be shared with the community on The Women’s Center website, Facebook and Instagram page, and in the local media.
"Part of the reason we developed the campaign was to engage men into our mission. Men do want to support us, but they don't know how to. This is an easy fundraiser," said Women’s Center Executive Director Beth Casady.
The fundraiser showcases the crucial role men play in the movement to end violence against women and children, as well as other men. The campaign also highlights that The Women’s Center treats all individuals no matter their gender, sexual orientation, or religious background.
Donations help support the services The Women’s Center provides such as counseling, legal advocacy, and operating a 24/7/365 emergency shelter for where the abused can find safe shelter as they recover from the trauma of domestic and sexual violence.
The campaign runs from May 14 until June 17.
