Man arraigned for charges related to Delta County drug bust

The name of the Escanaba man who was arrested last Wednesday for drug charges has been released.

Darryl Laron Gilliam-French was recently arraigned in Delta County Court.

He is being charged with delivery of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house.

His next court appearance is scheduled for December 12 at 9:15 a.m.


An Escanaba man is facing drug charges after a major cocaine bust Wednesday.

According to the Delta County Sheriff's Office, deputies discovered large amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine and U.S. currency during a traffic stop in Escanaba. Investigators then got a search warrant for an Escanaba home and found a large amount of cocaine. Authorities did not say how much was discovered.

Authorities say an Escanaba man was arrested for possession with intent to deliver cocaine and methamphetamine. His name has not been released.

Escanaba Public Safety and UPSET assisted the Delta County Sheriff’s Office.
