KINGSFORD, Mich. (WLUC) - The Dickinson County Community Chorus is once again spreading holiday spirit this season through singing.
The 53rd annual 'Sounds of Christmas' was held Monday night, at Kingsford High School. This year's theme was caroling.
Opening night tickets were sold out and the theater was packed with the public, listening to the chorus 'ring' in the holiday season.
"It kicks off the season for so many people. People are so excited after Thanksgiving and into the season and it's just very exciting for us, and community is a big word in our group,” said Crystal Hogan, the Principal Conductor of the Dickinson County Community Chorus.
To celebrate that community, various solos and ensembles were performed during the program, including the children's choir.
The final show is Tuesday Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. (CST) at Kingsford High School. Tickets are $10 dollar for adults and $5 for students. They can be purchased from any chorus member, or at the door. Proceeds from this concert support chorus programs throughout the year.
