Kevin is passionate about local sports coverage and is excited to tell the stories of Upper Peninsula athletes in both the high school and college ranks. He grew up playing baseball and basketball but loves reporting on all kinds of sports.
Kevin comes to the UP after spending four years studying at the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism. There, he was the Executive Producer of Terrapin Sports Central, an online publication covering Maryland athletics. He produced and anchored TSC's weekly sportscast, The Left Bench, along with covering Maryland football and men's basketball full time.
Kevin is looking forward to translating his experience covering Power Five athletic programs to the UP sports community.
During college, Kevin was able to travel and cover the Terps at both Spartan Stadium in East Lansing and The Big House in Ann Arbor. He was also on the sidelines for Maryland's victory in the 2022 Duke's Mayo Bowl and its run in the 2022 & 2023 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournaments.
Originally from the Chicago area, Kevin is a Chicago sports fan by birth, so he's relieved that most of the UP's NFL allegiances reside in the NFC North. When he's not at a live sporting event or in the studio, Kevin enjoys spending time with family, going to concerts, and trying new foods.
