Joey joined the News 10 team as a sports anchor and reporter in July 2022. After graduating from Michigan State University in May 2019, Joey spent the last two years in Bristol, Conn. with ESPN working as a Production Assistant and most recently a Content Associate, where he worked regularly on studio shows such as SportsCenter and Get Up!

While at MSU, Joey earned his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, where he primarily covered Michigan State football and basketball, including the Spartans’ 2019 Final Four run to Minneapolis. Joey was also the lead sports anchor for the award-winning student television show “Focal Point” in addition to handling radio play-by-by duties for MSU athletics for the award-winning student radio station “Impact 88.9 FM.”

In his spare time, Joey enjoys playing video games, working out, and playing a wide variety of sports. A Grand Rapids native, Joey was previously a part of the team and News 10's Upper Peninsula sister station, WLUC.

Joey is also open to any and all recommendations for things to do in the surrounding area.
