Weekday Evening Anchor, WLUC
Jessica relocated from southern California in August 2020, to join the WLUC news team as the weekday evening anchor for FOX UP and the TV6 Late News.
Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, she grew up in a very active household, riding horses, racing downhill snow skiing, riding dirt bikes, and loves the adventurous outdoor lifestyle. Jessica studied broadcasting journalism and public-media relations at the Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Jessica relocated to southern California to pursue her passion as a journalist, and perhaps the sunny year-round warm weather contributed to that decision as well. In 2015 Jessica was elected into "Team Beverly Hills," a government leadership program serving the local community under the city council. In 2019 she furthered her education at UCLA Extension in TV Reporting and Production. Combining her passion for news and politics, Jessica began working as a freelance fill-in news anchor, political contributor, and commentator. She worked at One America News, and KUSI in San Diego, NewsMaxTV in NYC, and FOX 5 DC.
Jessica is a big animal lover, who supports various charitable causes for the Westside German Shepherd Rescue in Los Angeles, CA, where she rescued her beloved 9-year-old German Shepherd. Each year, she runs the annual 5K and 10K races to raise money for the shelter.
Outside of work, Jessica is big on health and fitness who stays active with Pilates, Barre fit cardio, and Yoga. She enjoys weekend travel getaways, country music festivals, live sporting events, loves the beach, kayaking, paddle boarding, and hiking. Jessica embraces culture, arts and theatre, and spent time living in Italy, Australia and China. Among her other talents, she can whip up some tasty dishes in the kitchen and indulges in good deep pizza now and again.
