ESCANABA, Mich. (WLUC) - Participants of the Walk for Life will gather this Saturday at Escanaba’s Ludington Park Pavilion to kick off the 7th annual event.

Walkers will take off for their two-mile route at 9 am. Markers will guide a one-mile path for those who’d like a shorter route.

This year’s event will also include a weeklong “virtual walk” from the 13th through the 19th.

The walk is one of two main fundraisers for Pregnancy Services of Delta County.

The Escanaba-based non-profit provides resources, educational programs, and other services for expecting families.

“Being able to come together to walk for life is just a beautiful witness for our community, for women and families experiencing an unplanned pregnancy so they can actually see that they are not alone.” says executive director Audra Buchmiller.

You can register for Walk for Life, or learn more about PSDC, online here.

Registration will also be available onsite at the pavilion at 8:00 a.m. this Saturday.
