NEGAUNEE, Mich. (WLUC) - The Negaunee Farmers Market kicked off Wednesday in Miners Park.

A handful of vendors set up their tents, selling a variety of items including locally grown produce, handmade jewelry, and crafts.

Some local non-profits also set booths set up to promote their message.

The Negaunee Market Coordinator, Lisa Cory, expects to add new vendors throughout the season.

“I love to see the people in our community coming out, and the vendors to be coming out and growing. It’s a great way to support the local and to shop fresh,” says Cory. “I’m looking forward to a wonderful season with my vendors and that we have many people coming to experience the market.”

The market continues every Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. until September 30th.

Cory says new vendors and non-profits are welcome. Those interested should contact the Negaunee Market on its Facebook page.
