One injured after medical emergency causes car crash in Iron Mountain

A Channing woman crossed the US-2 centerline, struck a construction barrel, drove across the lawn of Advance Auto Parts and struck two unoccupied parked vehicles in the First National Bank parking lot.

IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WLUC) - A 59-year-old Channing woman is in the hospital after a Personal Injury Crash in Iron Mountain.

According the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post, the crash happened Monday, at 12:14 p.m. central time. Troopers responded to US-2, in the parking lot of the First National Bank. The driver, a Channing woman, was traveling westbound on US-2, when she had a medical emergency. She crossed the centerline, struck a construction barrel, drove across the lawn of Advance Auto Parts and struck two unoccupied parked vehicles in the First National Bank parking lot.

The driver was transported to the Dickinson County Hospital by Integrity EMS. The Iron Mountain Police Department, Breitung Township Fire Department and Integrity EMS all assisted at the scene.
