Southern system will bring more rain today

After early week rain a drier trend

An area of low pressure in the Central Plains will lift through the Great Lakes today. It will bring scattered showers to the eastern half of the U.P. by this afternoon with the rain clearing out tonight. Looking ahead the week remains quiet with no other big systems. However, it will be slightly cooler with the temperature trend dropping about 10° below normal for most places this week.

Today: Showers in the east by the afternoon

>Highs: Upper 40s to low 50s

Tuesday: Cloudy with morning sprinkles

>Highs: Low 40s north, low 50s in the south

Wednesday: Partly to mostly cloudy and seasonably cool

>Highs: Low to mid-40s

Thursday: Partly to mostly cloudy and cool

>Highs: Mid 40s for most, low 50s south

Friday: Partly cloudy, continued dry and cool

>Highs: Mid to upper 40s

Saturday: Mostly sunny, dry, and seasonal

>Highs: Low to mid-50s

Sunday: Mostly cloudy and near seasonal

>Highs: Upper 40s low, 50s
