A warm frontal system brings scattered rain showers to the Upper Peninsula Monday. Its east-northeast track brings moderate rainfall potential mainly over southern and eastern locations, with rainfall amounts of a half-inch or more. There is a chance of isolated thunderstorms for southern Menominee and Lake Michigan shorelines with their closest proximity to the warm front.

The system pushes east of the U.P. Monday evening, with a post upper-level disturbance producing scattered showers overnight and into Tuesday morning. Conditions improve midweek with mostly sunny sky conditions as high pressure builds to the north -- bringing a cooler airmass to the Upper Peninsula.

Temperature trend dips below the seasonal average during the second half of the week in the Upper Peninsula, with the next rain chances to come Friday and Saturday.
