MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The Marquette Little League baseball and softball seasons begin a week May 10, and the league is still looking for help.

A training session was held for league umpires Sunday, but it’s not too late to sign up. The league gives all the training necessary for you, and you’ll even be paid $25 for every game you officiate. Teens and up are welcome, and it could be an important stepping stone.

“They can register and use this experience for their hours to be an umpire for high school, American Legion, college, whatever,” said league president Shane Cromell.
