Lakeview Assisted Living to build new “Parkview” facility
The new facility will be located on 22 acres in Escanaba.
ESCANABA, Mich. (WLUC) - An assisted living and memory care facility in Gladstone expanding, but not in Gladstone.
Lakeview Assisted Living and Memory Care is looking to expand and add independent living in Escanaba. The new facility will be called “Parkview.”
“It’s called Parkview because the grounds are going to be absolutely stunning. we have a lot of mature maples and red Pines on the property, a lot of wildlife,” said Daryl Miron, CEO of Lakeview Assisted Living and Memory Care.
Located along Willow Creek Rd, just down from OSF St. Francis Hospital’s Besse Rehab Center, the new facility will cover 22 acres and include several different types of housing.
“It is a continuum of care and it’s kind of nice because the location is right next to the highway hospital, centrally located in Escanaba so it’s close to all the stores,” said Miron.
There will be condos for sale and 19 cottages from 1,100 to 1,600 square feet.
“We’ll be attracting people that are in their 30s and 40s for the condos, 50s.”
When the time comes, loved ones can easily transition into Parkview’s Assisted Living and Memory Care on the same site.
“I don’t think there’s much out there right now for independent living and condos. We know that the assisted living and memory care has been busy,” said Miron.
Right now, Lakeview is working to obtain the wetlands permit and hopes to break ground this summer.
“We’re excited to have a little walking paths through and there it’s going to be a very nice community and we’re excited to get it going,” said Miron.
