GWINN, Mich. (WLUC) - The Forsyth Township area will be featuring three egg hunts this Saturday, and the hosts say it’s a way to safely spread the Easter joy.

Little Lake Chapel and 906 Chapel at K.I. Sawyer will be welcoming eager egg hunters.

And Daisy Jo’s Icecream Parlour in Gwinn will be hosting its first-ever egg hunt at Peter Nordeen Park.

It will also feature games and prizes to win -- donated by the community.

Owner Danielle Hammond said, as COVID held back their initial plans to kick off the event last year, it’s a chance to bring a little normal back to the kids this Easter -- safely.

“Having two young kids myself, we really took a hit this last year. (The event is) come as you are. Masks are required. Social-distancing is required. We’ll have gloves available, we’ll have sanitizer available and we’re spreading everything out over a large area,” Hammond said.

Daisy Jo’s Easter egg hunt in Gwinn happens this Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. EDT.
