Texas player to join Finlandia program

HANCOCK, Mich. (WLUC) - Cash Bassett (Haskell, Texas) has committed to play for the Finlandia University baseball team.

“I’m excited to add Cash to our infield. He will be a huge asset to our program for the next four years. Cash is a compact framed middle infielder. Offensively, he provides a very good approach and an aggressive swing. Cash consistently hits the ball hard. He will provide some big-time pop to the top of our lineup. Defensively, Cash can play any position on the field. He has a very strong arm and is extremely athletic. We will look to Cash to be successful in multiple spots for us throughout his years here. Cash has a passion for getting better and I believe we will see huge development in his game very quickly at Finlandia.”
