GRAND MARAIS -- Hurricane Sandy's effect is now being felt in Upper Michigan. At the break wall in Grand Marais, huge waves pounded the shores and dozens came out to take a look on Tuesday. With the winds coming out of the north, Lake Superior's waves were very strong.

"Our friends on the East Coast, they've been through it, but the waves are just fabulous as long as they're not coming into the bay. The way they crash, you don't want to be to close to the edge of the break wall," said Patt Matthews, Grand Marais resident.

As the storm continues inland, some areas of upper Michigan may get some snowfall.
