As a large low pressure system barrels down on the Great Lakes over the next few days, expect plenty of rain for Upper Michigan.

Saturday will see mild temperatures with a south wind. Highs should reach the mid 40s. Expect a strong cloud cover with scattered rain showers. A warm front will pass late Friday, maintaining mild temps.

Saturday night's lows will only fall into the 30s, and most of the U.P. should stay above freezing, but some frozen precipitation may be mixed with the rain.

Sunday will be warm with highs easily reaching the 50s, but rain will be heavier than Saturday. Rainfall should be persistent throughout the entire day as the low pressure center passes very near Upper Michigan.

The cold front will pass on Sunday night. Behind it, rain should taper away and lows will fall back into the 30s. Continuing precipitation may be frozen.

On Monday, it gets much colder with highs only in the 30s, and lake effect should take over, likely becoming snow by Monday night.
