AU TRAIN TOWNSHIP -- Police have identified the second suspect in an alleged armed robbery and home invasion in Au Train Township.

Samantha Jo Menerey, a 20-year-old from Bay City, was taken into custody earlier this week in connection to an armed robbery and home invasion that resulted in the injury of a 19-year-old Upper Michigan man.

Menerey is charged with first degree home invasion and armed robbery. Her bond was set at $100,000 and she remains lodged in the Alger County Jail.

A second suspect, 29-year-old Richard Anthony VanPelt of Bay City, was also arrested and arraigned in court on Wednesday. He is charged with first degree home invasion, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, unlawful imprisonment, and armed robbery. His bond was also set at $100,000.
