The Michigan State Police say two suspects in Alger County robbery are residents of Lower Michigan
ALGER COUNTY -- The Michigan State Police said they have identified two suspects in last week's home invasion and armed robbery in Alger County. Efforts to locate and take the suspects into custody are in progress at this time, according to the MSP. The suspects reside in a downstate Michigan community, and their identity is being withheld pending arrest and arraignment.
The Alger County Prosecutor has issued arrest warrants charging one suspect with home invasion and armed robbery and a second suspect with home invasion, armed robbery, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and unlawful imprisonment. All charges are felonies carrying penalties of up to life in prison.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred in Au Train Township at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12. Police said that 19-year-old Allen Miron was assaulted and rendered incapacitated at his home on County Road 440 by multiple suspects. Authorities say that the suspects then robbed Miron, taking property from within the residence.
Miron was taken to Munising Memorial Hospital to be treated for injuries received during the assault, according to police.
