MUNISING -- Six fire trucks and over 30 firefighters responded to a fire in Munising on Sand Point Road early Tuesday morning, according to officials.

The Munising Fire Department arrived at the scene to find a fully-engulfed structure fire at 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Crews spent nearly seven hours to contain and extinguish the blaze.

There were no injuries, according to officials. One of the family's dogs did require mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and survived.

The fire is still under investigation, but firefighters believe the cause of the blaze originated in a detached garage.
