IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP -- A Gogebic County Sheriff's Department patrol car had to be towed from the scene of an accident Thursday.  It happened in Ironwood Township at 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Bluff View Road and Cedar Lane.

State Police say a vehicle driven by 26-year-old David Sim of Ironwood slid through a stop sign and collided with a vehicle driven by a Bessemer woman.  Her vehicle spun sideways into the path of the patrol car.  The patrol car has extensive damage.

There were no injuries.  Sim was cited for violation of basic law - causing an accident.
