Adkins pleads no contest

HOUGHTON -- An Oklahoma man was sentenced Friday in Houghton County Circuit Court.
    
Joshua Adkins entered a no contest plea in November for accosting a minor for immoral purposes.  Adkins' attorney requested Adkins be allowed to return to Oklahoma after his incarceration.
    
Adkins was sentenced to five years of probation which includes a no contact policy with anyone under the age of 17 and registering as a sex offender in the State of Michigan.
    
He was also sentenced to nine months in jail, with credit for 296 days.
