ISHPEMING -- The Ishpeming Hematites are finally back after a week long trip to New York City.

The exciting week and a 22 hour bus ride seemed to tire the football team out, as most of them slept for the majority of the way home, including coach Jeff Olson.

The team left the Big Apple around 7 p.m. on Thursday evening, and then drove the whole way through the night, returning to Ishpeming at around 1:30 p.m.

"Meeting Lebron James was really cool, but it wouldn't have meant as much to me if I didn't have 10 of my best friends around me," said Ishpeming senior Guiseppe Bertucci. "It was nice to share that with them."

TV6 and FOX UP will be running a special regarding the 2012 Hematite experience, and be sure to log onto our Facebook page to see pictures from the trip.
