MARQUETTE COUNTY -- Many people woke up Wednesday morning to a blanket of white.

Negaunee and Ishpeming saw between four to five inches of snowfall, but other places, like Marquette, didn't see any.  This is the largest snowfall so far for the season.

You can thank Hurricane Sandy for bringing in the wet, windy weather.

There are some people who were excited to see the snow and others who say they aren't ready for winter to arrive just yet.

"Well, it's a little early. It does spoil Halloween, but it's not a surprise," said Negaunee Township resident, Ed Tresedder.

"This is the best God's country could ever get to, and snow is wonderful, it's refreshing. Nothing wrong with getting out and doing something," exclaimed Ishpeming resident Holly Drexler.

"I was definitely not ready. I could push it off a few more weeks if it was up to me.  I'm not looking forward to shoveling or anything like that," said Negaunee resident, Nathan Francois.

There were even a few more flurries Wednesday afternoon, but not much additional accumulation.
